Erin E. McGaughey, Owner

Erin was born in a small town in Arkansas, but raised in St Louis, Missouri. She has practiced immigration law since 2009. She opened EMC Immigration Law, LLC in 2015, after returning to St Louis to be closer to family. Throughout her career, Erin has focused on assisting families to bring their loved ones to the U.S. through the consular process or through the adjustment of status process in the United States, successfully defended immigrants from deportation, and assisted businesses to fill labor needs and grow through legal immigration processes. She has argued in front of the Immigration Courts and 8th Circuit. She is a member of the American Immigration Lawyer’s Association (Missouri-Kansas Chapter and Washington State Chapter). She is bilingual in Spanish and English.

Haley Millner, Associate Attorney

Haley Millner grew up in St. Louis and has been an Associate Attorney at EMC Immigration Law since April 2022. Before that, she practiced immigration law in California, focusing on deportation defense, asylum, humanitarian immigration benefits, family-based immigration benefits, naturalization, and the intersection of criminal and immigration law. She currently serves as USCIS co-liaison for the American Immigration Lawyers Association (“AILA”)’s Missouri-Kansas Chapter. Before that, she was the ICE co-liaison for the Northern California AILA Chapter. She is bilingual in English and Spanish, and previously worked as a Spanish interpreter before becoming an attorney. She believes strongly in providing holistic representation that caters to the client’s current needs and abilities. She is grateful to have worked with so many incredible people through this practice.

Carolina Dimas Diaz, Legal Assistant

Carolina Dimas Diaz has been with EMC Immigration Law since May 2022. She grew up in Bucaramanga, Colombia, where she worked as a professor for 15 years, most recently as an English professor at a private university. Carolina has worn a number of hats – from events coordinator and manager to hospitality professor, to bilingual recruiter. She is bilingual in English and Spanish and has experience translating and interpreting in professional settings. She likes working with people and getting to know the clients at EMC Immigration Law. She is an animal lover and enjoys crafting and exploring nature.
